- subnasutus. Camponotus (Myrmophyma) nasutus var. subnasutus Arnold, 1922: 670 (s.w.) SOUTH AFRICA.
- Type-material: syntype major and minor workers (numbers not stated).
- Type-locality: South Africa: Natal, 3500 ft (G.D. Haviland).
- Type-depository: SAMC (perhaps also BMNH).
- Combination in C. (Myrmamblys): Emery, 1925b: 141.
- Subspecies of nasutus: Emery, 1925b: 141; Bolton, 1995b: 125.
- Distribution: South Africa.
